From September 23-24th 2006, the third „Great wall international bicycle festival” organized by Nordic Way and the Chinese Cycling Association will be held on the contest ground of the Olympic Games Beijing 2008- the Old Mount in Peking.

The event has gained huge attention and the amount of participant have risen from 500 in its first year to about 1200 expected athletes in its coming third round, among them 30 univeristy teams the 20 best cycling clubs in China.

The 2 day contest will cover both cross country & road racing, open to professionals and amateurs. The organisers are happy to welcome 2004 Olympic Champion Gunn Rita Dahle, the norwegian bike star. The person who manages to beat Gunn Rita Dahle in the elite MTB race goes home with a Merida bike with magnesium lightweight frame and some of the best components around!
